We are very predictable in our responses when we are stressed.
We all have our favorite lines at such times that we dish out
to people. But stress happens, and there is no denying that
fact. Stress can come from our work. Stress can also come from
our relaxation! There are so many people who are stressed
simply because they have nothing substantial to do.
One of the prime endeavors of human life should be to identify
stressful conditions in life and then try and eliminate them.
Some of the things in life are easily achievable, and if you
make a mental note of these things, you can achieve them. And
this is true for most of the things in our lives, because
lives are quite routine, for that matter. Only that some of
these things take a short amount of time, some will take much
longer.
Time Management
When you learn how to manage time, the best benefit is that
you are able to spend more time with your family and friends.
Also, by managing time, you are becoming more efficient – a
very sure concoction for relieving stress.
Here are some ways to improve your time management skills:-
Learn how to concentrate on things, and make a habit of
delegating work to yourself and at the same time keeping some
time out for yourself.
Maintain a record of the manner in which you are spending your
time. Are you distributing it well between family, work,
social life and solitary activities?
Learn how to prioritize things in your life. The things you
should take into account while prioritizing are – 'how
important is this thing?' and 'how urgent is this thing?'.
Things that are more important and urgent must certainly be
done earlier.
Do not take less or more work than you can handle. Also, do
not take up work that you simply cannot do, whatever be the
money involved.
Make a calendar or scheduler for yourself. If you have a big
assignment at hand, break it into small parts and schedule it
accordingly. If the deadline is far away, still break the
assignment into parts and set shorter deadlines for achieving
each part.
Always take time out for self-assessment. Think about what
your beliefs are and how you must build your life.
Construct Strategies for Your Life.
You must always try to build the right kind of strategies for
your life. You can do this by keeping proper records of the
things that go wrong, and what was the reason for it to go
wrong. Did that create any stress in you? When you have such
information with you, you can see how you can change your
strategies in life, focus on the positive aspects and try to
change and control your life.
Lifestyle
Sometimes, your attitude and the choices you make in life are
very important in influencing the level of stress that you
face in life. These stresses may come on through direct or
indirect methods, but the point to be noted is that they will
try and thwart the kind of peace you are seeking in life.
Here are some ways in which you can improve your lifestyle to
relieve stress:-
Strike a proper equilibrium between your personal life, your
work, your family and all the other duties you need to
perform.
Keep a goal in life.
Sleep well, and allow your body to relax when sleeping.
Eat well.
Exercise well and on a regular basis.
Do not consume alcohol.
Stay away from smoking.

You will find that the society you live in helps to manage
your stress in a very poignant manner. Society includes your
family, your friends and in fact everyone around you. When you
know that there are people out there who are caring for you
and are loving you, you feel yourself quite improved in life.
When your social levels are good, you will find a marked
improvement in your mental and physical health also.
Changing Thought Plans
If something causes depressing thoughts in your mind like
fear, anxiety, depression, anger, shame, insecurity, an
inferiority complex, then you will become a victim of stress.
Stress does not require an actual physical threat to come on.
Even with a thought, stress can begin. That is why you must
learn how to cope with all these debilitating thoughts.

Filter out the negative thought from your mind.
Try to disprove to yourself that some of the bad thoughts
aren't real. Make real interpretations.
Solve your problems in whatever way possible.
Change the way in which you communicate with people. Express
your feelings to people who matter. Sometimes, people don't
realize what you are at, and that brings on the stress. Be
more assertive about what you want.
Stress comes on to everyone, but you can find methods to
relieve stress in your own work if you really give it a
thought. Try to filter out the stress from your life in
